School Of Rockfish

Guide Service

You can pay someone to take you fishing once OR you can pay someone to teach you how to fish for the rest of your life.

Would you like to become a better fisherman? Would you like to understand why fish are where they are or how to "read water" ? Instead of just "going fishing ", how would you like to find and catch fish consistently?

Captain Tim Sughrue, a former research biologist for the Maryland DNR, has spent the better part of the last 50 years catching fish all over the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coast. He is obsessed with catching fish and he wants to show you how to catch fish the way he does. Captain Tim primarily fishes shallow water structures with ultra light tackle and artificial lures. He will teach you how to find structure, read Google earth and catch fish consistently.

Enroll in a 5 hour class (3 person max) and Capt Tim will go over the prerequisites for light tackle fishing. He will show you the proper rods, fishing line,  reels and lures necessary to be successful at this type of fishing. Instruction will include knot tying, casting technique, finding new fishing spots and how to position the boat for maximum success along with a myriad of other invaluable tips. Consider it like a “playing lesson” in other sports.
