A Typical Day Entails...
Your Fishing Adventure Begins in Trappe, Maryland
At Tim's School of Rockfish, a typical day starts at our ideal location in Trappe, Maryland, on Porpoise Creek, just off the Choptank River and directly across from Cambridge, Maryland. We have two launch ramps within 5 minutes of the house. We can quickly reach the Honga River, Transquaking River, Blackwater River, Nanticoke River, and Tred Avon River—all within 25 minutes.
"Flexible Fishing Schedule Tailored to the Tides"
Our fishing schedule is flexible to accommodate your needs, allowing for morning or evening sessions. The timing of our fishing trips is influenced by the tides, which play a crucial role in determining the best times to fish.
Learn Essential Fishing Skills with Expert Guidance
Throughout the day, you will learn essential fishing skills, including casting techniques, fish handling, and knot tying. Tim will also share his local fishing insights, ensuring you gain a deeper understanding of the area. This experience is designed for anyone, regardless of skill level, making it perfect for beginners and seasoned anglers alike.
The Boat
Tim owns a 24-foot Sea Hunt BX BR, the "flats version" of their center console. The entire bow and stern serve as casting platforms. Equipped with a trolling motor on the bow and a power pole on the stern, it is a stealthy shallow water fishing machine. A Hummingbird Solix 15 side scan sonar makes finding structure and fish much easier. This boat will be used for teaching classes at Tim's School of Rockfish.
For your safety, the boat is fully equipped with life vests for all participants, fire extinguishers, a first aid kit, and an emergency radio for communication with the Coast Guard or other emergency services if needed.
